MEET YOUR CHILDMINDER

A personal approach.
A familiar face.

I’m Niamh O’Hagan, a registered childminder in Hindhead, Surrey.

Children feel at home.
Parents feel informed.

I’m mum to Emily (27) and Jack (24), and a proud grandma to Adeline and Joey — affectionately known as “SUPERNANNY”! Family is at the heart of my life, and that warmth carries through into the care I provide.

Outside work, I enjoy running and am a Leader in Running Fitness at Haslemere Border Young Athletes. I also volunteer in the café at Haslemere Youth Hub.

My approach is warm, patient and rooted in understanding each child. I give children time to try things, build friendships and develop independence at their own pace.

Outdoor learning is a particular interest of mine. A walk, a garden discovery or an everyday task can open up a wonderful conversation and a new skill.

Always learning, always reflecting.

Ongoing professional development is important to me. I regularly update my training, reflect on my practice and look for ways to improve the care and learning experiences I offer. My HND in Early Childhood Studies provides a strong foundation, which I continue to build on through further training and experience.

I have achieved the full Surrey County Council Early Years Quality Improvement Award, reflecting my commitment to quality in my practice and provision.

Come and see how care works.

A visit lets you see the play spaces and outdoor arrangements, talk about sleep and meals, and ask the questions that matter to your family.

Nature Nurture Outdoor Play

I founded and run Nature Nurture Outdoor Play, my parent-accompanied outdoor stay-and-play business in the garden at Haslemere Youth Hub. It brings together my love of outdoor play and early years learning. Any visits by children in my childminding care are discussed with parents and covered by childminding permissions, supervision and risk assessment.
